On the 11th of September our year, 5 students competed in a thrilling semi-final against St Patrick's primary at Guildford.
Our students provided a compelling argument for the exciting debate of “Reading is more educational than watching television”.
Unfortunately, our fantastic students were unsuccessful in winning the debate however it was a very close match as both teams stated very good points.
Our school community was so proud of their hard work and how much they improved in public speaking. We hope to see them using these skills… but hopefully not against the teachers!

✏️✂️ Kindergarten Update 💙 Our Kindergarten students have been practising their tracing and cutting this week 💙 They are learning to carefully trace over lines and shapes and to use scissors safely to cut along lines. These activities help strengthen their little hands and improve coordination, which supports their writing and other classroom tasks. We are so proud of the effort they are putting in and how much their confidence is growing each day 💙

During this Lenten season, our school community is proud to support Project Compassion 💙 Each year, Caritas Australia invites us to take part in Project Compassion, encouraging us to “Live Simply” so that others may simply live. Through prayer, fundraising and acts of kindness, we stand in solidarity with vulnerable communities around the world. Throughout Lent, students will be learning about how their small actions can make a big difference. We encourage families to support Project Compassion by donating via the QR code and by having conversations about how we can help others in need. Together, we can make a meaningful impact this Lent 💙

Today we marked Ash Wednesday with a special Mass celebrated alongside Delany College. Together, we gathered in prayer to begin the season of Lent — a time of reflection, renewal and preparing our hearts for Easter. Receiving the ashes reminded us of the call to live with humility, kindness and compassion as we journey through Lent together. Happy Shrove Tuesday! 🥞 Today our students enjoyed a special treat as they received pancakes to mark this traditional day in the Church calendar. Shrove Tuesday is a time to come together, share joy and prepare our hearts for the season of Lent. A big thank you to the Delany College Hospitality students for making the pancakes and helping us celebrate this special day. On Tuesday, we were blessed to come together as a wider faith community for our Opening School Mass, celebrated alongside Delany College. It was a beautiful opportunity to begin the year in prayer, reflection and unity, as we placed our hopes, intentions and learning journeys into God’s hands. During the Mass, we also proudly presented our student leaders with their badges, acknowledging their commitment to lead with responsibility, service and faith throughout the year. We are grateful for the chance to gather, share in worship and strengthen the connection between our schools as we look ahead to the year to come. 💙 Throwback to our Year 6 Graduation & Final Awards Ceremony 💙 Looking back at a very special milestone at Holy Trinity Primary School — the Year 6 Graduation and final awards ceremony held at the end of last year. It was a proud and emotional occasion as we celebrated our graduating students, recognising their achievements, growth and contributions to our school community. As they took part in their final presentation and received their awards, we reflected with gratitude on their journey and wished them every blessing as they moved forward into the next chapter of their learning. 💙 Throwback to our Christmas Concert & Talent Show! 💙 As we look back on the end of last year at Holy Trinity Primary School, we’re reminded of the joy and meaning of our Christmas Concert and Talent Show. Our students lit up the stage with beautiful singing, joyful dancing and expressive acting, sharing their many talents with confidence and pride. Together, we celebrated the true spirit of Christmas — joy, love and the gift of Jesus — through creativity, community and performance. It was a special and faith-filled way to conclude the year and come together as one school community.

💙 Throwback to our Colour Fun Run! 💙 What a fantastic way to wrap up last year at Holy Trinity Primary School! Our Colour Fun Run was bursting with colour, laughter and energy as students ran, walked and cheered their way around the course. It was a joyful celebration of community, fun and teamwork, and a memory we’ll be smiling about for a long time.
