On the 11th of September our year, 5 students competed in a thrilling semi-final against St Patrick's primary at Guildford.
Our students provided a compelling argument for the exciting debate of “Reading is more educational than watching television”.
Unfortunately, our fantastic students were unsuccessful in winning the debate however it was a very close match as both teams stated very good points.
Our school community was so proud of their hard work and how much they improved in public speaking. We hope to see them using these skills… but hopefully not against the teachers!

Year 4 have been learning about National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week, exploring the importance of truth-telling, respect and building positive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. As part of their learning, students worked together to create a Path to Reconciliation. Along the pathway, they shared thoughtful words, promises and actions that can help create a more respectful and inclusive future for all. 💙27 Jun 2026

What is the probability of receiving a red M&M in a sample size of 10? Our maths lesson took an unexpected sweet turn. We used M&Ms to determine the probability of events occurring. Students recorded the data they collected from their bowl of M&Ms in fractions, decimals and percentages form and then placed the expected probability of each M&M colour on the probability scale. The highlight? Students being allowed to eat their M&Ms at the end of the lesson. Yum!
