On the 11th of September our year, 5 students competed in a thrilling semi-final against St Patrick's primary at Guildford.
Our students provided a compelling argument for the exciting debate of “Reading is more educational than watching television”.
Unfortunately, our fantastic students were unsuccessful in winning the debate however it was a very close match as both teams stated very good points.
Our school community was so proud of their hard work and how much they improved in public speaking. We hope to see them using these skills… but hopefully not against the teachers!

Year 2 explored Godβs Creation in Religion, learning about the seven days of Creation in the Bible and discussing why and how we should respect and care for the world God has given us. Students represented their learning in a creative and meaningful way. The leaves symbolised nature and the beauty of Godβs creation, the stones represented us as humans who are called to care for the Earth, and the candle and cross reminded us that God is at the centre of all creation. It was wonderful to see students reflecting on how we can appreciate and protect the world God created for us. ππΏπ―οΈ13 Mar 2026

Year 1 have been busy in Maths learning how to label bar models and match them with the correct number bonds. Through hands-on activities, students are building their understanding of how numbers can be broken apart and put back together. Itβs wonderful to see them developing their confidence and problem-solving skills! ππβοΈ
