For this year’s Book Week celebrations at Holy Trinity, we had many exciting events that occurred.
Many of our highlights included, the Book Week Performance, “Big Dreams,” engaging many of the students and influencing them to keep persisting in their dreams.
As well as our fantastic Book Week Performance, we had our Book Character Parade. There were many creative costumes, inspired by our favourite books from Diary of the Wimpy Kid to favourite Princess characters.
This year’s theme, “Reading is my Secret Power,” encouraged many students to express themselves through their knowledge of reading. Like the famous Dr. Seuss stated, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

As a school community, we reflect on the courage, resilience and mateship shown by the men and women who have protected our freedom. We give thanks for their bravery and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Lest we forget.

We are excited to introduce a new recycling initiative at our school! Our students are now collecting cans as part of our commitment to caring for the environment and making a positive difference in our community. This initiative encourages everyone to take responsibility for reducing waste and thinking sustainably. Even better, the money raised from recycling will go straight back into our school to purchase new sports equipment and support other resources for our students. We look forward to seeing our school community come together to support this effort—every can counts!

We were so excited to welcome our students back for the first day of school! As a school community, we gathered together for a special liturgy centred on the Easter season, taking time to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus and what it means for us in our everyday lives. It was a beautiful opportunity for prayer, reflection and renewal as we begin the new term together. We look forward to a wonderful term of learning, growth and connection ahead!

Our students joyfully brought the celebration of Easter Sunday to life through a beautiful reenactment. 💙 They shared the powerful moment of the Resurrection, reminding us that Jesus has risen and brings hope, joy and new life to the world. Through their words and actions, they helped our school community reflect on the true meaning of Easter and the message of love and renewal. Our students respectfully and thoughtfully brought the events of Good Friday to life through a powerful reenactment. 💙 They portrayed the Stations of the Cross with great reverence, reflecting on Jesus’ journey to the cross, His sacrifice, and the deep love shown through His suffering. Each scene invited our school community to pause, reflect and remember the true meaning of Good Friday. We are incredibly proud of the maturity, respect and empathy shown by all students involved as they helped us enter into this sacred time of reflection. 💙

Our students reverently brought the events of Holy Thursday to life through a moving Easter reenactment. 💙 They thoughtfully portrayed key moments including the washing of the feet, reminding us of Jesus’ call to serve others with humility and love. The Last Supper was shared, highlighting the gift of the Eucharist, followed by a powerful scene of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. The reenactment concluded with the arrest, capturing the solemn beginning of Jesus’ journey to the cross. We are so proud of the respect, effort and reflection shown by all students involved as they helped our school community prepare for Easter. 💙

Year 4 have been busy with their Harmony Day learning and creativity 🧡 Students worked thoughtfully on their Harmony Day craft, writing about how everyone belongs and sharing ideas on how they can help make our school a more harmonious and inclusive place! Later in the week, they switched gears to Mathematics, where they have been exploring fractions and building their understanding through a range of engaging activities 🧮

Year 3 did a wonderful job this morning bringing the story of Palm Sunday to life 🌿 Through their reverent and thoughtful performance, they helped us reflect on Jesus’ journey into Jerusalem and the true meaning of this special time in our liturgical year. Stage 3 have been learning to partition numbers (up to 12 digits) in both standard and non-standard form, strengthening their understanding of place value and how numbers can be broken apart and represented in different ways. Students explored a range of strategies to explain their thinking, working collaboratively to solve problems and share their ideas with one another! To finish our Harmony Day celebrations, students came together for a friendly game of soccer, celebrating each other’s cultures in a fun, respectful and inclusive way. It was a wonderful opportunity to build teamwork and recognise that everyone belongs 🧡
