π Huge congratulations to our amazing Athletics Team! πββοΈπββοΈ We had 25 students represent Holy Trinity at the 2025 Cumberland Zone Athletics Carnival β such an incredible effort! π Everyone showed awesome sportsmanship, effort and school spirit. ππ A special shout-out to Halimah and Tamara for being named Age Champions ποΈ and to Prince for achieving Age Champion Runner-Up! π Weβre also super excited that 7 of our students will now go on to represent the Cumberland Zone at the 2025 Parramatta Diocesan Athletics Carnival. Best of luck β weβre all cheering you on! πͺβ¨

πΈ Last week, we came together with Delany College to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with a beautiful combined Mass. πβ¨ It was a special opportunity for our school communities to join in prayer, reflect, and honour Mary together. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the celebration so meaningful. π

πβ¨ Book Fair Parade Fun! β¨π Yesterday our school came alive with colour, creativity, and characters! We celebrated our Book Fair Parade with students dressing up as their favourite book characters β and even some amazing original characters they created themselves! πβοΈπ Families also enjoyed visiting our open classrooms, where students took part in engaging activities inspired by the CBCA shortlisted books. What a wonderful way to celebrate reading, imagination, and our love of books! π

We canβt wait to see all the creative βChoose Your Own Adventureβ characters walking through the gates! π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈπ¦ΈββοΈπ΅οΈ π¨βπ©βπ§ Families are welcome to join us after the parade for some special classroom activities based on the 2025 Shortlisted Books. πΆπ Year 1 Lifting Their Voices in Song ππΆ Our Year 1 students sang a beautiful Andrew Chinn song about God being in our hearts, in our minds, and watching over us from above. The song reminded us that God is always with us β in the way we think, feel, and live β and linked beautifully to the meaning behind making the Sign of the Cross. βοΈ What a joyful way to share our faith through music! π΅ππ

πβ¨ Book Week is just around the corner! β¨π Weβre so excited to celebrate Book Week next Wednesday 13th August with our amazing Holy Trinity community! π Dress-Up Parade at 9:00 AM Students can come dressed as their own βChoose Your Own Adventureβ character β whether itβs a brave explorer, a magical creature, or a hero from their imagination! π¨βπ©βπ§ Parents and carers are warmly invited to stay after the parade and join in on some fun Book Week classroom activities based on the 2025 Shortlisted Books. π And donβt forget β the Scholastic Book Fair opens Thursday 14th August β Tuesday 19th August! β¨π Feast of Saint Mary MacKillop πβ¨ We celebrated the Feast of Saint Mary MacKillop with a beautiful Mass led by one of our new parish priests, Father Joseph. It was a special time to come together as a school community, honour Australiaβs first saint, and reflect on her message to βnever see a need without doing something about it.β πβοΈ We are blessed to share this occasion with our parish family and look forward to many more celebrations with Father Joseph.

ππΎ Stage 2 Zoo Adventure! πΎπ Our Year 3 and Year 4 students had an amazing day at Blacktown Zoo, linking their visit to this termβs Science units. π Year 3 took part in a handsβon Classification of Living Things workshop, exploring the incredible diversity of animals and how scientists group them. π± Year 4 participated in a Food and Fibre workshop with a special Aboriginal focus, discovering how Aboriginal peoples have traditionally used different plants and animal fibres to create food, clothing, tools, and shelter. Both groups also enjoyed exploring the zoo and getting up close to some furry, feathery, and scaly friends π¦π¦π β an unforgettable way to bring Science and culture to life!

πβ¨ Get Ready to Book an Adventure! β¨π Book Week is almost here, and we canβt wait to celebrate with our amazing Holy Trinity community! π π WEDNESDAY 13TH AUGUST π 9:00 AM β Dress Up Character Parade Our whole school will come together for a magical βChoose Your Own Adventureβ dress-up parade! Students are invited to come dressed as a character from their very own adventure story. Think explorers, time travellers, superheroes, and more! π¨ After the parade, families are warmly invited to visit classrooms and join in on Book Week activities based on the 2025 Shortlisted Books. It's a wonderful chance to share in the joy of reading and creativity! π Scholastic Book Fair β THURSDAY 14TH to TUESDAY 19TH AUGUST The Book Fair will be open for browsing and buying! Students will create a wishlist on Thursday and bring it home. Purchases can be made via the online payment system β just send the receipt number back to school so we can send the books home! We canβt wait to celebrate the joy of stories, imagination and adventure with you all! πππ«
